Daniel Christopher Wharton

Daniel Christopher Wharton, age 36, of Dover, DE went home to the Lord on May 19, 2024. He is at peace and free of the struggles of this world. Danny was a gifted craftsman and loved doing renovations and home improvements. He was a master at tile work. Danny could build anything and worked in all phases of construction. Danny’s loved spending time with his family, especially his children. He loved going to Daddy Daughter dances with Alyssa and loved going to the park and Frightland with Addison. He was active in the Salvation Army Church where he was blessed to find God. Danny loved everyone with all his heart and soul. He loved going to the park with his kids, nature walks with him Mom, working on his brother Derrick’s umpteen trucks and picking on his sister Leeann because as we all know “We can’t always get what we want”. With the big heart he had he also “laid down the law” when it came to his family. Eddie Kopp says it best, Danny left his mark on this world he was LEGENDARY! We take comfort knowing Danny rode off Into the great wide open Under them skies of blue Out in the great wide open A rebel without a clue “on his big green tractor”. Danny was deeply loved and will be forever missed. He is survived by his mother, Christine Outten; his daughter, Alyssa Wharton; his son, Addison Wharton and his mother, Vanessa Cain; his siblings: Derrick George Outten, Leeann Bailey Outten, George David Outten III, Jeffrey Dean Boulden, and Samantha Gillespie; his aunts and uncles: Jeff & Connie Cooper, Paul & Devona Waters, Bill & Jackie Lane, Bobby & Yvonne Simpson, John & Sue Wharton, and his great aunt and uncle - Frank & Alice Hill; his nieces and nephews: Aubree & Bradley Outten, Caitlynn & Crystin Hurd, Tryonn (JR) & Jaslynn Clark, and Malaya James; his best friends and second family since childhood: Eddie Kopp, Anell Kopp, and Amanda Kopp; and a host of other friends. Danny was preceded in death by his father, George D. Outten II and his brother, John Lloyd Wharton. Services and burial will be private.
