Frank John Taurozzi, Jr. passed away on May 24, 2024. Frank, born in Brooklyn, New York, on January 12, 1950, was a man of many passions. His love for airplanes and flying led him to attend Aviation High School in Long Island City, near his childhood home in Queens, New York. This passion carried him into a distinguished career in the United States Air Force, where he served with unwavering dedication for 20 years, rising to the rank of Master Sergeant before retiring. He was known for his sense of humor, which endeared him to all who knew him. Frank’s military career was not just about assignments and bases. It was about the people he met and the relationships he built. His post at Clark Air Base in the Philippines was a turning point in his life. There, he met lifelong friends and found his soulmate and wife of 45 years, Yoly. Together, they welcomed their first son, John, into the world. Their family grew with the birth of their second son, Frank, while stationed in Philadelphia. After retirement, he moved to Newark, Delaware, to create a home filled with love and laughter, a testament to his dedication to his family and friends. In his spare time, Frank enjoyed playing tennis and softball, catching a Phillies game or watching his sons play baseball. Frank loved fishing, traveling, trips to the beach, listening to music, singing in the St. Augustine choir, walking his beloved dogs, Snoopy and Vinnie, and, most importantly, spending time with friends and family. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Josephine M. Taurozzi. He is survived by his wife, Yolanda Taurozzi; a son, John Taurozzi, and his wife, Shannon; a son, Frank Taurozzi, his wife, Meghan, and their daughter Eva; his sister, Ann Castiglione; a nephew, Thomas Castiglione, and his wife, Morganne; a niece, Nicole Carey, her husband John, and their daughter Amelia. A Celebration of Life will promptly commence at 11:00 AM and is open to all who wish to pay their respects to Frank. A private service and memorial, in recognition of Frank’s dedicated service in the United States Air Force, will be held at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
