Althea Levtha Seaton

Althea L. Seaton was the daughter of the late Arthur William & Oneda Seaton. She fell asleep in death on Thursday, January 17, 2019. She was born on September 6, 1948 in Philadelphia, PA. From a young teenager, Althea embraced the knowledge and "Bible Truths" she was learning about Jehovah God. Learning about Jehovah's purpose for mankind gave her great joy. As a result of her love for Jehovah, she dedicated her life to HIM and expressed this publicly by water baptism on July 3, 1966. From the start, this great love and joy she found, motivated her in fulfilling whatever avenue of service to Jehovah, she was privileged to share. Several times, Althea went to preach about God's Kingdom in areas of the U.S. seldom reached, with members of her spiritual family. Clearly, she loved the ministry and was able to share in the full-time preaching work as a pioneer for 13 years, planting many seeds of truth that grew in the hearts of others. Althea extended her love, to learn a new language and for several years, attended a local Spanish Congregation in order to assist in any way possible. She was always ready to support anyone in their preaching activity to Jehovah and give a listening ear to extend comfort where needed. To her family and friends, Althea was truly a source of encouragement and a fine example of a servant of Jehovah. Althea is survived by Spencer B. Seaton, Jr.; Spencer B. Seaton III; Jacqueline T. Seaton, Laela N.; Edward L. Seaton; Jill B. Seaton, Makayla L.; James S. Seaton III,; Vincent B. Seaton; Pamela M. Seaton, Vincent B. Seaton; Oliver (Carolyn) Corbin, Tony, Mary Corbin; Cynthia (Daryl) Seaton-Taylor, Chaunten L. (Robert) Baxter; Ronald C. Seaton, Ronnisha Seaton; Tyrone (Terry) Corbin-Anderson, Tiffany (Shawn) Simning; Catherine Coleman, Athena Coleman; Emma Coleman,Nakia Coleman, Lakia Coleman, Carl Coleman, Tyrone Pringle, Jr., Brother, Marvin Coleman, Jamar Bowman; Omar (Melvin) Jones and family. Althea was also survived by a host of other relatives, close friends and her large spiritual family. Spiritual "Dad" Roscoe Kellum, spiritual sister and lifelong friend Olivia “Libby” (Bart) McRae, nephew, Knol (Charla) McRae and niece, Sheena McRae. Althea will be missed greatly.
