Charles Watts Collington

Charles “Chick” Watts Collington, age 77, of Sharon Hill, PA, passed away peacefully on March 19th, 2026, surrounded by the deep love of his family. Born on January 1st, 1949, in Southwest Philadelphia, he was the beloved son of Thomas and Florence Collington. Chick is survived by his wife, Charisse, his partner in life and in so many cherished memories. He will be profoundly missed by his children Theresa, Chuck, Dan, stepson, Ryan Scully; and by his adored grandchildren: Kyle, Jake, Morgan, Maddie, Lily, Hank, and Charley, who were the light of his life and brought him endless joy and pride. He is also survived by his siblings Thomas (Pat), Jimmy, Michael (Nancy), Patty, Dennis, Richard (Amber), Flo (Thomas), and Mark (Ann Marie), along with many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews who will forever carry his memory in their hearts. He was preceded in death by his niece, Rachel; nephew, Sam; and stepson, Matt Scully whom he now joins in eternal peace. Chick worked as a project manager for AT&T and as a DJ, where his love for music truly came alive. Music wasn’t just something he played—it was something he shared, something he gave to others. Whether he was spinning oldies or simply playing a favorite song, he had a gift for bringing people together, filling rooms with laughter, love, and unforgettable moments. He found happiness in life’s simple joys—fishing, shelling, cheering passionately for the Birds, the Fightin Phils, and the Broad Street Bullies, and spending treasured time along the shore, from Sea Isle to Sanibel Island, with his wife Charisse, or cruising the open seas side by side. Those quiet, beautiful moments meant everything to him. Chick left pieces of himself in the lives of everyone who knew him—through his music, his humor, his traditions, and the little things that made him him. From chocolate milk and fried egg sandwiches to his perfectly timed one-liners, he had a way of making ordinary days feel special. His love will live on in every shared breakfast, every familiar song, every laugh, and every dance that carries his spirit forward. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, March 25th from 5:00–7:00 PM, with a service to follow from 7:00–8:00 PM at Strano and Feeley Funeral Home, located at 635 Churchmans Road, Newark, Delaware 19702.
