Charles P. "Bud" Wolfe

Charles P. “Bud” Wolfe, Sr., 93, of Wilmington, Delaware, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on March 5, 2026. Bud was born on January 15, 1933, in Wilmington, Delaware, to the late Howard Wolfe and Mary Wolfe. From an early age, he carried a warm and gentle spirit that stayed with him throughout his life. Bud was known for his deep faith, his quiet kindness, and the way he welcomed everyone he met with an open heart. To know Bud was to feel his warmth, and many who crossed his path quickly became lifelong friends. Above all else, Bud was a devoted husband and father. His family was the center of his world, and he cherished every moment spent with them. Whether sharing stories, enjoying a simple day together, or offering steady guidance and support, Bud made sure his loved ones always knew they came first. For 50 years, Bud worked proudly as a union painter with Local 100. He took great pride in his work and the friendships he built along the way. When he wasn’t working, Bud loved spending time outdoors. Camping trips, fishing, and crabbing brought him great joy, and being outside was where he felt most at peace. You could often find him enjoying the fresh air, sharing a laugh, and appreciating the simple beauty of the world around him. Bud was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Charlotte “Liz” Wolfe, whose love and companionship meant everything to him, as well as his grandson, Jesse Wolfe. He leaves behind a family who will forever cherish his memory: his sons, Charles Wolfe, Jr. (Cindy) and Christopher Wolfe (Mary); his sister, Sandy Bell (Robert); his grandson, Jeremy Wolfe (Julia); his granddaughter, Nicole Wolfe; and his great-grandchildren, Liam and Oliver. He is also lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and lifelong friends. Bud was not only a wonderful father, husband, and Pop-Pop, but the kind of man who could turn a stranger into a friend with just a smile or a kind word. His light, laughter, and generous spirit touched many lives and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bud’s memory to Masonic Lodge #31. Services will be held privately.
