Eugenia Angelita Felix

It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Eugenia Angelita “Nanay Lita” A. Felix, who left us peacefully on December 24, 2024, at the age of 85. She passed away in the loving embrace of her only daughter, surrounded by her family. Nanay Lita’s life was guided by a deep and unwavering faith. As a devout Catholic, she dedicated herself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, the Divine Mercy, and Mama Mary. She was among the founding members of the "Talang Maliwanag" praesidium of the Legion of Mary in San Mateo, Rizal, and was an active member in the Apostolado ng Panalangin at the Diocesan Shrine of Our Lady of Aranzazu. Her faith was the foundation of her loving devotion to her family, always teaching us the power of prayer and trusting in God’s plan. As a full-time mother and homemaker, Nanay Lita created a nurturing and loving home, where she instilled valuable lessons in respect, hard work, simplicity, and the importance of faith. She would always remind us, “Samahan mo rin ng dasal”, leaving us with not just practical advice, but a sense of peace and guidance. Nanay Lita’s love was expressed through her cooking, sewing, and gardening. She poured her heart into preparing meals that brought joy to all who tasted them, often making sure no one ever went hungry. As a skilled dressmaker, she created beautiful dresses and gowns, often gifting them to loved ones on special occasions. Her love for gardening was equally abundant—she lovingly cultivated fruits and vegetables, sharing her harvest with friends, neighbors, and family alike. For many years, Nanay Lita was a loving caregiver to five generations of her family, always showing compassion and care without hesitation. Her selflessness and faith in God’s love and providence were a constant inspiration to all who knew her. Eugenia is survived by her devoted husband of 62 years, Romeo, their children Virgilio, Boyet & Elen, Manny & Marlyn, Millette & Dante (Angeles), as well as her cherished grandchildren: Noel, Christine, Madelaine, Maui, Kim & May, Arvin, Ivann, Rommari, Hanzel, Johnlloyd, Angela, Jan, Dan, and Ian. She is also survived by her siblings: Virginia, Jun & Carmencita, Norie & Betty, along with numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins. Nanay Lita was preceded in death by her parents, Bartolome and Eufemia, her siblings Gliceria, Flordeliza, and Nonato, and her daughter-in-law, Teresita. A memorial mass to celebrate Nanay Lita’s life will be held on February 1, 2025, at 12:00 noon at St. Elizabeth Church, 809 S. Broom St, Wilmington, DE 19805. Bishop Efren Esmilla will officiate, with Fr. Roger DiBuo concelebrating. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in her memory to St. Elizabeth Church or Cottolengo Filipino (official page on Facebook). All that you did and how you did them, you sealed with your silent prayers for us whom you love. To God above, you must have asked Abundance of faith, hope and love. With all that you endured, learned and shared, Your love was more than enough: You taught us to be happy and be at peace even when things get tough; Profound faith in God, in our hearts you carved. Your love is overflowing, more than enough, So we know you will watch us from above. Please continue to shower us with faith, hope, and love So our love can be more than enough.
