Hector "Tito" Santiago

In Loving Memory of Hector Santiago Hector Santiago, also known as Tito, will be remembered as a loving, generous, and extremely hardworking man who devoted himself to his family. He was always present and supportive of everyone who had the privilege of sharing great and memorable moments with him. He was the kind of father who was counted on in both everyday life and during the hard times. He found his greatest happiness in being surrounded by the people he loved — whether it was sharing laughter, stories, or just good times with his people. His presence, selflessness, and compassionate heart will live on through the guidance and inspiration he gave to those who really knew him and felt his love. As Jack Thorne once wrote, “Those we love never truly leave us, there are things that death cannot touch.” Though it’s hard to say goodbye, we take comfort in knowing that when he arrived at the gates of heaven, he was welcomed with open arms by his brother Enrique, his nephew Jarvis Garcia, and his beloved grandmother Angelica Cruz. Hector leaves behind his amazing wife, Joanne Santiago, and his loving daughters — Amanda, Angeline, Ameris, Aleecia, and Kayla; his son, Hector Luis Santiago Jr., also known as his twin. He also leaves behind his godson, Jovanni Vega, and his stepson, Jonah; his caring and devoted parents, Hector Santiago and Angelita Santiago-Cruz; his brothers, Nelson and Junito; dear sisters, Redsina and Bertha. His love and presence will be deeply missed by his many best friends, nieces, nephews, and cousins, who held him close to their hearts. Though we are heartbroken to see him go so soon, we will carry his memory with us always. Fly High, Tito — you’ll live forever in our hearts. From his son: He was the best father that anyone could ask for. Even when I was wrong, in his eyes, I was right. I’m his only son, and we share the same name. He was always there for me, no matter what I was going through. Whether I was locked up or needed anything, he never disappointed me. He took care of everything from washing clothes and buying shoes to making sure there was food and transportation for wherever I needed to go. Even when I made mistakes, he stood by me without any hesitation. He was the best person I have ever gotten to know and the only one who always had my back. I love you and I’ll carry this name for you always. A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at Strano & Feeley Family Funeral Home, 635 Churchmans Rd., Newark, DE, 19702, from 2-4 PM.
