It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Joel Pare Samia, a cherished soul who departed this life on the 15th of April, 2024, in Newark, Delaware, at the age of 73. Born to this world on the 19th of August, 1950, in Pampanga, Philippines, Joel led a life marked by virtue, generosity, and unwavering kindness. A diligent and steadfast truck driver by profession, Joel’s dedication to his vocation was a testament to his strong work ethic and integrity. His exemplary service was held in high regard by his peers and will be fondly remembered by those who had the honor to work alongside him. Joel's heart found contentment in the simplicity of life—his hands tenderly nurturing his garden and his spirit at peace by the water, rod in hand, waiting for the catch of the day. These pursuits were not mere pastimes but reflections of his deep appreciation for nature’s bounty and beauty. The legacy of Joel’s love and warmth endures through his family. He leaves behind his wife of many years, Teresita; and their beloved progeny: Veejay, Joaylimer, Jocel, Jamie, and Joel Jr. His life’s joy was further multiplied by his treasured grandchildren: Joy Ailimer, Ila Rose, Laurence, Francis, Jamielaine, Ydnara, Jaycee, Rheance, Laarni Viel, Yanara, Miguel, Jasmine, and Riley. He is also mourned by his surviving siblings: Rodolfo, Pepito, Rommel, James, and Agnes. Preceded in his journey to the afterlife by his brothers Wilfredo and Victor, Joel's memory is a beacon of love and compassion that will continue to guide and inspire all who were blessed to know him. We commit Joel Pare Samia to his eternal rest, trusting that he has been welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven. His spirit will dwell forever in the garden of memories cherished by those who loved him. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.
