Nicholas David Tiberi Jr., age 34, of Wilmington, DE, passed away on November 9, 2024. Born into a large, loving family, Nick grew up in Delaware, where he developed a passion for carpentry and working with his hands. A true master of his craft, he shared many cherished moments in the Hodgson carpentry shop with his uncle, Joe Tucci, preparing for his career dedicated to building and creating. In recent years, Nick pursued his entrepreneurial ambitions of becoming self-employed, yet he remained a loyal and committed teammate, spending countless hours working alongside his brother Daniel and with close family members. Nick was a generous spirit, always ready to lend a helping hand, taking every opportunity to showcase his exceptional skills and support his loved ones. An outstanding athlete, Nick left a lasting impact on the Delaware wrestling community. He was a three-time State Champion and four-time Blue Hen Conference Champion, and a recipient of the Outstanding Wrestler award. He also achieved a fourth-place finish in the “Beast of the East” wrestling tournament. Nick continued his passion for wrestling by training and working with his second family at Tyrants Wrestling. Sports were an integral part of his life from as early as five years old, starting with Stanton Newport Little League baseball and NCCFL football. At Hodgson Vocational Technical School, where he graduated in 2008, Nick played a pivotal role on both the football and wrestling teams, contributing to Hodgson’s first undefeated 13-0 Championship Football season, leaving behind a legacy of dedication and sportsmanship. While Nick was admired and celebrated for his athletic achievements, his greatest legacy was his role as a father to his children: Nicholas, Nate, and Noelle. Out of all the jobs, teams, and successes in his life, the one he embraced wholeheartedly was caring for and raising his children. Proudly referred to as "Mr. Mom," Nick wore the title with honor, bringing joy and laughter into his children’s lives and sharing his light-hearted, sentimental, and cheerful spirit with his kids. Together, they shared countless moments of laughter, singing, and playful antics, creating memories that will never fade. As a devoted, thoughtful, and loving son, Nick’s kindness, hard work, and dedication to family brought his parents immense pride. Above all, watching him become a father was one of the greatest gifts he ever gave them. Nick’s love extended to his family and friends, who meant everything to him. He was an avid anime and gaming enthusiast, a passion he loved sharing with his son Nicholas. He was also a country music fan and cherished the fishing trips he took with his cousin Mikey. Known for his enthusiastic conversations, Nick was not only a captivating talker but also a compassionate listener. He found joy in reading and writing and was eager to share his thoughtful philosophies and motivational quotes with everyone around him. His love was genuine, his heart kind, his smile bright, and his presence warm. He will be remembered as a youthful, loving spirit, a devoted father, son, brother, cousin, friend, and teammate. Nick leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories, and he will be forever cherished by all who knew him. Nick is survived by his mother, Jeanne Malgiero; his father and stepmother, Nicholas Sr. and Deanna Tiberi; his beloved children, Nicholas D. Tiberi III (Danielle Raye), Nathaniel L. Tiberi, and Noelle S. Tiberi (Kathryn Lee); his brothers, Daniel and Jacob Tiberi; and his sisters, Madilyn and Jenna Tiberi. He is also survived by his grandfather, Gene (Generoso) Malgiero, and a host of loving uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Nick was preceded in death by his grandparents, Margaret (Peggy) Malgiero, Helene Malgiero, and Mario and Helen Tiberi and his cousin, Michael “Mikey” Tiberi. Nick’s impact on the lives of those around him will never be forgotten, and his legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who loved him. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Monday, November 18, 2024 from 12-2:30 PM at Middletown Memorial Hall, 27 West Green St., Middletown, DE 19709. A celebration of Nick’s life will follow at 2:30 PM. Burial will be private.
