Robert Leron Blair

Robert Leron Blair, affectionately known as “Ronnie” was blessed to the late Robert Blair & Lillian Blossom Blair on January 24. 1956 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he was the younger brother to sister, Debbie J. (Johnson) Jones. On May 14, 2025, the Lord in his wisdom ended Ronnie’s wonderful and fulfilled life’s journey in which he departed this earth peacefully. Ronnie was educated in the Philadelphia Public School System; he graduated in June 1974 from Dobbins Technical Vocational High School with a degree in Automotive Mechanics. Shortly after his graduation on September 3, 1974, he enlisted in The United States Navy, the maritime service branch of The United States Department of Defense. While in the Navy he traveled the world from Italy to Germany and various foreign countries, but he always wanted to return home, his place of comfort and to be with family. He was honorably discharged on December 21, 1977. After several years being stationed at Norfolk Naval Base and residing in Portsmouth, VA, where he was married, and had two daughters from that matrimonial union, Rhonda Blair and Monica Blair, after many years, he decided to return home to Philadelphia, PA. Upon his return home, Ronnie obtained employment at the University of Pennsylvania as a Maintenance Technician and was elevated to the position of HVAC Engineer, for over 35 years he was employed with the university until he retired several years ago. While at the University he met another employee and partner, Gina Pagan, in which they had two (2) daughters, Bianca Blair and Nastasha Blair as well as his additional bonus children, Gabrielle Pagan, Brittany Boyer and Andre Boyer, which he loved dearly. After retirement, he relocated to Newark, DE where he continued his long-standing love for bowling and jointed several bowling leagues, where he was lovely known “Pop Pop” he was a true “champ” and won many bowling trophies. To let you know how serious he was about bowling, yet fun and he was very competitive, he had almost “50” different bowling balls! Also, he had music talent (not singing), he became a professional DJ known as DJ Father Time with his company’s name being Blair Entertainment. He truly enjoyed and loved oldies, listening to various musicians and musical styles. He continued faithfully bowling and performing at different venues until his health issues prevented him from doing the two things he daily enjoyed. Ronnie currently leaves to miss and cherish what he contributed to our lives, his four daughters, Rhonda L. Blair of Hampton, VA , Monica D. Blair of Suffolk, VA, Bianca Blair and Natasha Blair of Philadelphia, PA, his sister, Debbie J. Jones of Newark, DE, two grandsons, Dartayjiaye A. Blair and Shaun H. Robinson residing in VA, his aunt and uncle, Russell and Renee McCray, niece and nephew, Tonya Jones and Andre Jones, his bonus children, Gabrielle Pagan, Brittany Boyer and Andre Boyer, his soon to be son-n-law, Terrell James and Myra James (his mother), special family friend, Samonda Turner and Joy Shepeard, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, former co-workers, friends and neighbors, its impossible to mention all by name.
