Scott Keith Springer

Scott Keith Springer, age 51, of Middletown, DE went home to the Lord on Wednesday, March 29, 2017. Born to MaryAnn and Edgar Springer Sr., he was raised along with his brothers in Wilmington, Delaware. He graduated with honors from Dickinson High School and the University of Delaware. Scott worked as a financial advisor for Ameriprise and had many devoted clients who considered him a trusted advisor and friend. He was a committed Christian and a devoted family man. Scott had a heart of gold and was extremely compassionate. He invested himself in friendships and relationships and always tried to be an encouragement. Over the years, he served others by participating and volunteering with Boys Brigade, Covenant Camp counseling, the Paris Foundation Homeless Shelter, and went on many mission trips. Scott also enjoyed hosting a bible study in his home where many men would gather to fellowship and read God’s Word together. He was a fun-loving jokester, a people person, who was often the life of the party. He enjoyed all sports. Scott loved his wife deeply and always called her his “Bride” and “Princess Judy”. Together they welcomed and cherished their three children. His greatest joy was time spent with them on vacations, and at church, and school events with family and friends. Scott was a special person who left an indelible mark on the lives of all who were blessed to know him. He will be dearly missed. Scott is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Judy E. Springer; his precious children: Benjamin Scott, Amy Alexis Springer, and Andrew Wesley Springer; his parents, MaryAnn and Edgar; his brothers, Edgar Jr. (Gerrie) and Christopher (Karen); his in-laws, Gaylord and Beverly Tweed, Jeff Tweed, and Elizabeth Kubasek; nieces, and a host of friends. Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Friday, April 7, 2017 from 9:30 AM to Noon at Glasgow Church, 2880 Summit Bridge Road, Bear, DE 19701 followed by a service in celebration of Scott’s life at Noon.
