Xianci Huang

Xianci Huang, a distinguished oleochemist, passed away peacefully at home in Newark, Delaware at 19:00, on March 3, 2024, at the age of 76. Born on April 23, 1947, in Anhui Province, China, Xianci’s life was a testament to the power of hard work, resilience, and the grace of God. Xianci’s selfless dedication and passion for his career illuminated the lives of many. He served as a senior engineer at Huainan Oil Plant and director of the Food Bureau’s Research Institute, making remarkable contributions to the oleochemical industry over his thirty-year career. His professional expertise and innovative endeavors earned him numerous honors and medals, including the title of provincial model worker in Anhui Province, an esteemed award commemorating his outstanding achievements in the field. Beyond his professional endeavors, Xianci found solace and joy in the simple pleasures of life. His love for life and pursuit of truth leaves a lasting impression on families and friends. Xianci is survived by his loving wife, Dengzhi Yao, and his children: Yuanyuan Huang (and husband Peng Wei), Guohua Huang (and husband Liubin Hu), and Kejun Huang (and wife Yiwen Wu). He was a cherished grandfather to Daniel Wei, Emily Wei, Terry Hu, Samuel Hu, Zhenxuan Huang, and Charlie Wei, who will forever treasure his wisdom, kindness, and support. Xianci had two brothers and three sisters, although sadly, one brother and one sister preceded him in death. Xianci’s life serves as an inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing him. His remarkable achievements, boundless curiosity, and profound love for his family will continue to resonate in the hearts of those he touched. A memorial service to celebrate Xianci’s life will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 3011 North Heald Street, Wilmington, DE 19802, on March 16, 2024, at 11:00 AM.
