Amanda Melissa Williams
December 12, 2002 - February 13, 2022
Amanda Melissa Williams was born in New York on December 12th, 2002, at 5:11AM to Tricia Sindy Gosine. She was a premature baby weighing two pounds and eleven ounces. Amanda was a beautiful baby. Even as a newborn spending her first month in the hospital, her strong will and fighting spirit were evident, and seen throughout her whole life. She was a family blessing and was deeply loved. Amanda was loved and cared for by her Uncle Peter and Aunt Dillian for her first two and a half years. She went on to live with her mom, and when Amanda was two and a half years old, Gladstone Alexander Williams came into her life as well. He loved her as his own child with no hesitation and unconditional love. Amanda worked at her mother’s place of business, the Williams Family Daycare, as a teacher in the infant room. She enjoyed teaching and dancing with the children. One of her favorite children's songs was “The Ants Go Marching On”, and Amanda would march around as the kids followed. Amanda enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling all around. One of her goals was to go to Japan since she loved learning about the culture. She started her college journey in the spring of 2021, studying mechanical engineering. Amanda loved going on campus and learning in school. She loved to play cards and mancala. Amanda enjoyed reading manga, watching anime, making tea, and collecting tea sets. She always went roller blading and loved skateboarding and ice skating. Amanda loved to be care-free, living her best life, and she easily made new friends wherever she went. In 2017, Amanda had her first epileptic seizure. She had been suffering and battling seizures for the past couple of years with a recent increase in their frequency and severity. Her family is devastated to report Amanda’s passing at home on Sunday, February 13th, 2022. The family’s trust in the Lord and their undying faith brought comfort to them as they accepted God’s will for Amanda’s life, knowing that His will has been done. Amanda is at peace with no more suffering. Amanda Melissa Williams is survived by her mother, Tricia Sindy Williams; her father, Gladstone Alexander Williams; her three siblings: Alex (11), Alicia (9), and Amelia (7); her fiancé, Horace McFarlane; her great grandmother, Molly Bindoo; grandmother, Catherine Jennifer Bindoo Gosine; her step grandfather, Tony Dabydeen; grandfather, Vernon Gosine Sr.; her aunt and uncle, Dillian Gosine and the late Peter Gosine; her aunt and uncle/ Godparents, Catrina Gosine and David Eppler Jr.; along with her cousins: Maria Eppler, Davina Eppler, Michael Gosine, Jonathan Eppler, Moriya Gosine, Isabella Eppler, and Dillon Gosine, on her mother’s side.
