Carolyn Triano Rhodes, age 73, of Newark, DE, passed away surrounded by loving family, Thursday, February 17, 2022. She was a loving wife, mom, nonna, and Mom-mom who had a great sense of humor. She loved to laugh and was a friend to many. Carolyn’s family came to America from Italy and Germany, and she inherited their great Italian cooking and baking skills. She won an honorable mention for her sauce in the Italian Wine and Food Festival. Carolyn was especially known for her delicious pumpkin cheesecake. Carolyn will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know her. Carolyn is survived by her cherished husband of 36 years, Michael Rhodes; son, Anthony Triano; daughter, Amanda Farris (Brian); grandchildren: Morgan, Aidan, and Luke; sister-in-law, Mary Anne Maguire; and many close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis Jr. and Margaret Triano. A memorial visitation will be held Wednesday, February 23, 2022, from 2-4 PM at Strano & Feeley Family Funeral Home, 635 Churchmans Rd., Newark, DE 19702. Services and burial will be private.
