Curtis “Curt” Robert Williamson, age 64, of Bear, DE, passed away on January 28, 2021.surrounded by his family. Curt owned his own Speed and Custom Shop, worked for Nucar Chevy, and lastly, as a school bus driver. Curt’s greatest thrills in life were spending time with his wife at craft shows or just hanging out at the beach. Among his other passions were working on his ’55 Chevy Pro Street Belair Race Car, going to car shows, winning trophies, and cruising Ocean City, MD. He was very proud to have one of the cars he built featured in a car magazine. Curt loved going to Cecil County Raceway to either participate in racing or just as a spectator. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, NHRH drag racing, as well as all types of car shows on TV. He also was a Phillies and Eagles fan. Curt’s fun-loving, personality and heart of gold will be missed by all who knew him. Curt is survived by his loving wife, Laurie; children, Curtis II and Becky; sister, Terri Otto (Randy); two grandchildren, many nieces and nephews; and his bestie/caregiver, Jennifer Herbert. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Norma Jean Williamson. A visitation will be held Friday, February 5, 2021, from 2-3 PM at Strano & Feeley Family Funeral Home, 635 Churchmans Rd., Newark, DE 19702 followed by a service in celebration of Curt’s life at 3 PM.
