Daniel E. Summers, age 71, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully at home Sunday, March 27, 2022. Dan was a valued employee of Boeing where he worked as a machinist/toolmaker for 43 years. He was a family man who treasured time with his family. Dan adored the grandchildren and looked forward to his nightly FaceTime with grandson, Christopher. Dan had a great interest in antique and custom cars. He liked watching NASCAR and drag racing. Dan enjoyed relaxing with a good Classic Western movie. His loving and generous nature will be deeply missed. Dan is survived by his beloved wife of 39 years, Mary Ann Summers; children, Nicole Villanueva (Brian) and John Summers (Jessica); grandchildren: Christopher, Megan, Eagle, Falcon, and Raven; and brothers, Van Luther Summers (Peggy) and Gary Myers. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ivan and Pauline Summers. A visitation will be held Monday, April 4, 2022, from 9:30-11 AM at Strano & Feeley Family Funeral Home, 635 Churchmans Rd., Newark, DE 19702 followed by a service in celebration of Dan’s life at 11 AM.
