Dave was born on July 20th, 1955 to Alan and Earline (Henderson) Thomas in Reno Nevada. Dave was born with cerebral palsy; at that time the medical care was not as advanced as it is today. Their favorite was Rehoboth Beach where they could be found enjoying a Nic-O-Boli at Nicola Pizza, or up the boardwalk at Fun Land. Dave became a Civil War enthusiast after a trip to Gettysburg, PA. Many vacations were spent visiting Civil War battlefields throughout the south. Dave enjoyed music from New Age to Pop. CP did not slow Dave down. He worked at Texaco for 25 years and First student Bus company for 20 as a bus driver. He retired from bus driving in 2013 after suffering a stroke. He fought long and hard to maintain his mobility. Dave was predeceased by his father, Alan Thomas and his mother, Earline (Henderson) Thomas. Dave's memory will be cherished by his wife Mary, stepsons William and Kenneth Baungardt and his brother Jeffery Thomas, nieces Emily and Bea, God Daughter Anna Schandel, former daughter in law Gina Baungardt, step-grandsons, Donavin and Joevony Ellis and his many friends.
