Delores Jane Haslam

October 10, 1937 - January 24, 2021

Delores Jane Haslam, age 83, of Delaware City, Delaware went to be with her husband on January 24, 2021. She was born in Lancaster, PA to the late Katherine and Ralph Bleacher. Delores was a loving wife, Mom, and MomMom. She enjoyed going to the beach, taking care of her children and grandchildren, and running her household. Delores was an excellent cook. She loved her many dogs over the years including her pug, Buddy. Delores was a Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed watching NHL hockey. She was a kind and loving woman who was always willing to help others. Delores will be dearly missed. Her legacy of love will live on in the hearts of her beloved family. Delores is survived by her daughter, Terry A. Quaster (Jeff); sons, Doug W. Haslam (Theresa) and Russell L. Haslam (Madeline); her siblings: Jack (Jo) and Barbara; her beloved grandchildren: Jason, Carrie, Michael, Steven, Hope, Jimmy (Erin), Anthony, Chris (Sandy), Wayne, Beth (Donny), Lee (Katie), James (Colleen), Ryan, Brandon, and Matthew; 34 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Delores was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Horace J. Haslam; her sons, Jimmy H., and Richard A. Haslam; brothers, Sonny and Dick; and granddaughter, Melissa. Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Monday, February 1, 2021 from 9:30 to 11 AM at the Strano & Feeley Family Funeral Home, 635 Churchmans Rd., Newark , DE 19702. A service and celebration of Dolores’s life will take place at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Gracelawn Memorial Park.
