Edward C. Cross, Jr., age 73, of Wilmington, DE, passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2022. Edward worked for many years as an aircraft electrician for the Air National Guard. He enjoyed being outside cutting grass, driving his tractor, and gardening. Edward was a huge Phillies fan and liked watching them as well as basketball on TV. He enjoyed playing a good hand of cards. Edward found simple joy in being with his dog, Daisy, and taking care of the neighborhood cats. He will be greatly missed. Edward is survived by his daughter, Donna Simpers (Edward) with whom he lived for the last 15 years; sons, Edward Cross III (Christy) and Michael Cross (Julie Anne); grandchildren: Daniel Simpers (Kelly), Eddie Cross, Kylie Simpers, Kaitlyn Simpers, Gavin Cross and Shane Cross; and one great-granddaughter, Rhys Simpers.
