Ethel Thelma McElduff

Ethel Thelma McElduff, age 82, of New Castle, DE, passed away Thursday, February 3, 2022. Ethel cherished her family and loved all the time they spent together. Holidays were especially times for making family memories. She was a great baker, making many family treats. In her younger days, she enjoyed bowling. Ethel liked watching sports, playing bingo, visiting the casinos, and going on bus trips. Ethel is survived by her sons: Henry McElduff (Denise), James McElduff (Denise), and Scott McElduff (James); daughters: Judy Pangle (James), Penny Brown, and Amy Pope; brother, John Brainard; sister, Mary Houser; grandchildren: Stephen (Jennifer), Victoria, Angel, Elyse, Crystal (PJ), Jerry (Kelly), George, Pierce, Shawn (Joanna), Jennifer (Zach), Kari, Kyle (Crystal), Isabella, Tanisha, and Edward; great-grandchildren: Joseph, Stephen Jr., Chase, Skylar, Caylee, Amani, Ja’zyia, Urijah, Tori’Ahanna, Victoria, Isaiah, McKenzi, Mannix, Angelina, Elliana, Addelynn, Alejandro, Bayleigh, Brinleigh, Damien, Noah, and Wyatt. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby McElduff; parents, James and Mary Walls; sons-in-law, Robert Brown and Leonard Pope; brothers: Walter Walls and James Walls; and sisters: Harriet Marley, Dorothy Scheerer, Doris Gadley, and Catherine Davis. A visitation will be held Wednesday, February 9, 2022, from 6-8 PM at Strano & Feeley Family Funeral Home, 635 Churchmans Rd., Newark, DE 19702. A second visitation will be held Thursday, February 10, 2022, from 10-11 AM followed by a service in celebration of Ethel’s life at 11 AM. Burial will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park.
