Georgianna Kriskie

July 18, 1941 - March 9, 2022

Georgianna Hayden Kriskie, age 80, passed away on March 9, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Wilmington, DE to the late Mary W. and John R. Hayden. Lovingly called Geo, she was a wonderful wife, Mom, and Grandmom. Geo retired from MBNA after 20 years of dedicated service. She was a terrific cook, and enjoyed flower gardening and traveling. She loved her annual trips to Clearwater, FL to watch Phillies Spring Training baseball games. Geo also loved rooting for the Eagles, Packers, and the Georgia Bulldogs. She was a special person who was always willing to help others. Geo easily made friends while pursuing her wide variety of hobbies. She held a pilot license and was an active outdoors woman. Geo was an avid trap shooter, enjoyed deer hunting and target shooting, and was a member of the National Wild Turkey Federation. Geo’s vehicle of choice remained the Pontiac Firebird throughout her life. Her greatest joy in life was time with her precious family. Geo leaves a legacy of love, adventure, and laughter to all who were blessed to know her. She will be forever remembered by her family and friends. Geo is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, John Kriskie; her son Bruce A. Zenel and his wife Yvonne Galindo; her daughter, Gwendolyn Kriskie; her brothers Kevin and Marc; her sister-in-law, Denise Zeroka and husband Michael; her grandson Arek; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. Geo was preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Katie, Trish, Jay, and Dolores. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Wednesday, March 16 from 9:30-11 AM at the Strano & Feeley Family Funeral Home, 635 Churchmans Road, Newark, DE 19702. A memorial service in celebration of Geo’s life will follow at 11 AM. Burial willl be private. In lieu of flowers donations are suggested to Faithful Friends, 12 Germay Drive, Wilmington, DE 19804.
