Jack D. Cable
August 28, 1930 - March 25, 2022
Jack D. Cable, aka “Jack the Ripper” aka “The Cable Guy” age 91, Newark DE. My Gramps’ train has officially left the station, as he would say, on March 25, 2022. He arrived in this town before most of you reading this. Jack started his career in 1948 at Chrysler in Detroit. He made a brief exit to serve 4 years in the Air Force then returned to Chrysler here in Newark. Jack was the hardest working individual, completing 44 years. He served on the Board for American Spirit Credit Union for many years, was a member of the Masons and The Calvary Baptist Church was his place of worship. His mother and father, Norman and Ethyl Cable, settled down in Maryville TN. He was born in Proctor NC in 1930. He was one of five brothers, Adolf, Kenneth, Keith, and Joe. In 1953, he married Lois Russell and was the father to two beautiful daughters, Diana and Macalynn. In turn, he was an outstanding Grandfather to Joseph, Michael, Kenneth, and myself - Jason. Further that down to being the best Great-Grandfather to all our amazing children. We all love and will miss him dearly. I cannot express how heartbroken we are. I want to say thank you to Linda and Jack for being the best neighbors he could ever have. Gramps, we all want to say thank you for being a part of our lives. We wish we had another 91 years. We love you and will remember you always. Services and burial will be private. To send an online condolence, visit www.sranofeeley.com
