James Edmund McCormick Sr. “Jimmy Mack”, 59, of Newark, DE, passed away peacefully January 16, 2022, after a courageous three-year battle with cancer. He was the son of the late John and Suzanne McCormick of Wilmington, DE. Jim worked for Newark Insulation for 25 years. He was a passionate fan of the Fighting Irish and Colts. Jim loved sports and played softball for many years, but being a dad was the greatest joy of his life. He was so proud of his children: James Jr., Cassandra, and Brenden. In addition to his children, Jim is survived by his ex-wife, Angel; brothers: Kevin, Terrence and Michael; nieces and nephews: Kristine, Maria, Dennis Jr., Patrick, Annmarie, John and Michael Jr.; and Uncle John and Aunt Diane Beeson. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers: John, Dennis, and Timothy; and his nephew, Kevin Jr. Services will be private.
