Joseph Mark Fisher, age 33, of Newark, DE, went in peace to be with his mom-mom and his beloved pets Rowdy and Gandalf on Saturday, April 30, 2022. Joey cherished spending time with his family and devoted his life to taking care of his father and looking out for his mother. He was a dedicated Star Trek fan, the ultimate Trekkie. Joey loved crabs and would take over the kitchen anytime the need arose. His laughter was contagious. He was an avid gamer, who loved swimming, roughhousing with his cousins, and deep conversations with his sister Melanie. One of his favorite memories was traveling to the Philippines. He will be missed by all that knew him. Joey is survived by his mother, Gloria Fisher; father, Mark Fisher and his wife Margarita; sister, Melanie Fisher; abuela, Maria Matos; aunts and uncles; numerous cousins; and best friend, Lamont Lismore. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Joseph and Ruth Fisher. A visitation will be held Saturday, May 7, 2022, from 1:30-3 PM at Strano & Feeley Family Funeral Home, 635 Churchmans Rd., Newark, DE 19702 followed by a service in celebration of Joey’s life at 3 PM.
