Lenora M. Hill, age 71, of Newark, DE, passed away peacefully Sunday, May 1, 2022. Lenora was a loving mom, mom-mom, and friend to many. She was a hardworking woman and in her younger days, Lenora had enjoyed working with her father on the farm. She was a fantastic baker and baked many delicious delicacies to be shared with family and friends. Lenora enjoyed playing bingo, watching old western movies, listening to all types of music, and vacationing at the beach. As an animal lover, she treasured her cats: Vixen, Dash, and Hailey as well as her lab-pitbull mix, Kaynin. Lenora is survived by her children, Elizabeth Destafney and Carl Hill, Jr.; grandson, James Destafney; siblings: Jim Cleaver, Sarah Painer, Roger McCully (Wendy), Janet Johnson (John), Kenny Cleaver, and Moya Cleaver; sisters-in-law, Delene Cleaver, Diana Cleaver, Dottie Cleaver, and Susan Cleaver; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Hill Sr.; parents, Alfred and Ella Cleaver; siblings: Richard Cleaver, Mary Lehr, Tommy Cleaver, and Alfred “Bud” Cleaver; and brother-in-law, John Painer.
