Marisella "Sella" Rose Fisher Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

On Thursday, May 12th, surrounded by family, Marisella passed away at Christiana Hospital. Born on April 11, 1951, in Tampa, Florida, Sella graduated from Delcastle Technical High School. She studied fashion and design at Miami Dade College of Art and Design and Moore College of Art and Design in Philadelphia. To follow her passion, she designed and created clothing for herself, her mother and then her niece. She enjoyed drawing and painting, gifting original pictures to family and friends. To earn a living, she worked in retail and then banking, finally retiring from MBNA when her failing eyesight made it impossible to continue. She enjoyed traveling and visiting family in Mexico. With her mother and best friend Rose, she visited California and London. Marisella was plagued by health issues all her life. When she was no longer able to work or travel, she enjoyed living her life vicariously through the antics of her niece and nephew and his family. She always remained upbeat and her full, rolling laugh would ring out at the retelling of some anecdote. She fought through many medical emergencies and amazed family and medical professionals by her repeated triumphs. Finally, fatigued by her struggles, she was unable to overcome this final crisis. Sella was preceded in death by her mother Rosario C. Hartsell and her brother David A. Hartsell. She is survived by her brother Frank E. Hartsell (Patricia), niece Andre’a C. Hartsell, her nephew James A. Hartsell (Candice Coulby), great-nieces Leela and Kinsley Hartsell, great-nephew Blake Hartsell, beloved aunt Belia Kulick, Cousins Marie Sessum, Robert and Joseph Kulick and their families. Visitation will be Thursday, May 19, from 10 AM to 11 AM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seaton Roman Catholic Church, 345 Bear Christiana Road, Bear, DE 19701. Funeral services will follow at 11 AM. Burial will be private. Considering her joy in children, in lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in her name to Shriners Hospital, 3551 N. Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19140.
