Noemi Acosta

Noemi Acosta, dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother was received into heaven on February 7, 2021. Noemi retired after 30 years of working at Ideal Precision Meters in Brooklyn, NY. Noemi was an avid baseball fan and her favorite team was the NY Yankees. She enjoyed food, traveled extensively and enjoyed the company of family and friends. A devoted Catholic, Noemi was a leader in the Cursillo Movement for 48 years. Noemi is survived by her husband, Eloy of 60 years, her sons Eloy III (Jane Marie), Jay (Millie), Anthony and only daughter, Susan (Carlos). Her grandchildren, in order of birth, Eloy IV, Jordan Anthony, Brian Christopher, Ariana Noemi, Lauren Emily, Carlos Daniel and her great-granddaughter, Laila Rose, her sister Praxedes Modesto and nephews, Richie Lugo, Osvaldo Lorenzo, Samuel Lugo and niece Mayra Santiago. She is predeceased by her mother, Susanna Wescott, her grandson Jeremy Javier Acosta, and sister Teresa Lorenzo. She will be greatly missed by all of the people who loved her. She was a compassionate, loving, generous individual. A visitation will be held Wednesday, February 10, 2021, from 6-8 PM at Strano & Feeley Family Funeral Home, 635 Churchmans Rd., Newark, DE 19702. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, February 11, 2021 at 11 AM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, 345 Bear Christiana Rd., Bear, DE 19701. Entombment will follow at Gracelawn Memorial Park. Noemi se jubiló después de 30 años de trabajar en Ideal Precision Meters en Brooklyn, NY. Noemi era una fanática del béisbol y su equipo favorito erán los NY Yankees. Disfrutaba de la comida, viajaba mucho y disfrutaba de la compañía de familiares y amigos. Católica devota, Noemí fue líder en el Movimiento de Cursillos durante 48 años. A Noemi le sobreviven su esposo, Eloy de 60 años, sus hijos Eloy III (Jane Marie), Jay (Millie), Anthony y su única hija, Susan (Carlos). Se llevara a cabo el velatorio el Miercoles, 10 de Febrero, de 6-8 PM en Strano & Feeley Family Funeral Home, 635 Churchmans Road, Newark, DE 1702. Una misa de entierro cristiano se llevara a cabo el Jueves, 11, de Febrero, 2021, a las 11 AM en la parroquia St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, 345 Bear Christiana Road, Bear, DE 19701.
