Paul Selestok Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Paul Selestok, age 90, of Newark, DE passed peacefully on Thursday, July 21, 2022, at Season’s Hospice. Dad was born in Hastings, PA, the son of Hnat and Tekla (Cidello). He was the youngest of nine children. Dad graduated from Hastings High, lettering in football, basketball and baseball. He was the senior class treasurer and received the Principal Award. Dad and Mom, Joan McDonald Selestok, were high school sweethearts. They were married seventy years in May. Dad came to Delaware to work for Chrysler. He was drafted and served in the U.S. Army. He returned to Chrysler and retired after thirty years. Dad was an avid bowler. He achieved the perfect game of 300. Dad, Mom, and sons saw America through their yearly trips to bowling competitions. Dad was a Knight of Columbus at Holy Family. He volunteered many hours putting his faith in action. Most of all, Dad was a loving and supportive husband, father and grandfather. He was a strong Ukrainian in body, mind and spirit. Family was everything to him and we are so grateful that he was the head of our family. Dad was a sweet and humble man who was always there to help his family and friends. He was our rock and is dearly missed by his family and friends. Paul is survived by his wife Joan; his five children: Kevin (Giselle), Paula (Bill), Carrie, Tom (Linda), and Drew (Dawn); thirteen grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, siblings, grandson and granddaughter-in-law. Relatives and friends are invited to visit Holy Family Church, 15 Gender Road, Newark on Thursday, July 28 from 10 to 11AM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11AM.
