Robert Wayne Norris

December 10, 1951 - April 26, 2022

Robert Wayne Norris, age 70, of Bear, DE went home to the Lord on April 26, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Mountain City, TN to the late Mary Lois Norris and Robert Tracy Norris. Wayne was a quiet, private man who was devoted to his wife, children, and grandchildren. He enjoyed simple pleasures like relaxing on his porch swing, swimming in the backyard pool, and spending time with his family. Wayne was a hardworking man. He worked his way up in several local Nissan dealerships and retired as parts manager after 49 years of dedicated service. Wayne loved attending Fairwinds Baptist Church and was a strong Christian. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Dolores Norris; his daughters: Amy Norris and Beth Everett (Todd); sisters: Karen Jordan and Debbie Wagner (Roy); his brother, David Norris; 3 grandchildren: Samantha Norris, Dylan Everett, and Raegan Everett; and a host of extended family and friends. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents; his twin brother, Tracy Blaine Norris and wife, Louise; his brother, Michael Norris; and his brother-in-law, Talmage Jordan. Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Monday, May 2, 2022, from 10-11 AM at the Fairwinds Baptist Church, 801 Seymour Road, Bear, DE 19701. A service in celebration of Wayne’s life will take place at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Gracelawn Memorial Park.
