Robert F. Schenck, III, age 66, of Bear, DE, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, April 23, 2022. Robert was a valued employee of DuPont for 47 years where he worked as a millwright. Many family memories were made on cruises, camping trips, fishing trips, and travels in their RV. Robert also enjoyed cruising around on his Harley Davidson. He was an avid NASCAR fan who also liked playing computer games and watching WW2 and black & white movies. Robert was a loving husband, dad, Pop-Pop, and friend to many. He will be deeply missed. Robert is survived by his cherished wife of 39 years, Cynthia Schenck; children: Steven Schenck (Chrissy), Clifford Schenck, and Stephanie Eschelweck (AJ); grandchildren, Addison and Alex; siblings, Sandy Schenck (Linda) and John Schenck; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his golden retriever, Chewy. He was preceded by his parents, Robert Jr. and Aline Schenck. A celebration of life and refreshments will be held Saturday, May 7, 2022, from 12 Noon-2 PM at Holloway Terrace Fire Hall, 700 West Ave, New Castle, DE 19720.
