Robert Shannon, age 77, of New Castle, DE passed away on April 13, 2022. He was born in Wilmington, DE to the late Pearl and Owen Shannon and lived in New Castle throughout his life. Robert retired from General Motors. He enjoyed fishing, boating, eating crabs, and spending time with his family. He will be missed by all those who loved him. Robert is survived by his daughters: Lori Long, Tammie Shannon, and Kathy Brooks (Darius); his brother, Charles Wayne Shannon (Lorraine); his sisters, Arzella Stewart (Winnie) and Deborah Davis (Steve); 13 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Robert was preceded in death by his parents and five siblings. Family and friends are invited to a memorial service in celebration of Robert’s life on Saturday, April 23 at 1 PM at Barratt’s Chapel, 6416 Bay Road, Frederica, DE 19946.
