Rosemarie Collier

April 24, 1939 - January 26, 2022

Rosemarie Collier, age 82, of New Castle, DE, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 26, 2022. Rosemarie was a faithful and dedicated member of Peniel United Methodist Church where she enjoyed being with her church family and helping with the annual Tea Party luncheon. Rosemarie had a best friend and partner in crime, Nancy Minter, with whom she enjoyed a lifetime of adventures. She treasured her family and they made many happy memories as they traveled in their camper all over the country. Rosemarie had a large circle of friends who enjoyed doing ceramics and playing cards. She also was always there for her friends and was caretaker to several. Rosemarie and her loving ways will be missed by all who were blessed to know her. Rosemarie is survived by her sons, Thomas Collier Jr. and James Collier (Kristi); daughter, Deborah Walls (Frank); grandchildren: John, Amanda, Joey, Katie, and Michael; great-grandchildren: Aaron, Makenzie, Maura, Dominic, Hannah, and Gavin; brother, Robert Ruberto (Nancy); a host of nieces and nephews; and her four-legged companion, Gus. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Collier Sr.; mother and stepfather, Josephine and John Nicholoy; and 2 brothers. A visitation will be held Wednesday, February 2, 2022, from 10-11 AM at Peniel United Methodist Church, 115 E Market St, Newport, DE 19804 followed by a service in celebration of Rosemarie’s life at 11 AM. Burial will be private at a later date in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery. IN lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in Rosemarie’s memory to the church.
