Steven G. Kokulak

Steven Kokulak, age 90, of Daytona Beach, FL, passed away Monday, December 13, 2021. Steven was born in Brooklyn, New York on November 9 to Irene and Michael Kokulak. He was the baby of their 8 children. He was a quiet, humble man who loved his family. There Steven met and married his beautiful wife, Eileen, to whom he was married 63 years. Together they had 3 children who they raised in Staten Island, NY. Their love flourished with the raising of their children and time with their friends. Eileen and Steven took numerous trips and cruises, including traveling to Ireland and Russia to visit their heritages. In life he loved to bowl, play cards, work on puzzles, read mystery novels, and root for his Yankees in every game they played. Steven served in the Army and then went on to work as a draftsman for Western Electric and an engineer for AT&T before retiring to the Jersey Shore and then ultimately Daytona Beach, FL. He was very involved in the Catholic Church serving as an usher, lecturn and a trustee for Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Staten Island, NY and being a member of the Joy Club at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Melbourne, FL. For many years Steven enjoyed participating as a member of the Knights of Columbus. He also spent countless hours volunteering at a senior center in Melbourne, FL. Survivors include his sisters-in-law, Marion O’Reilly and Patricia Wolfe; his children: Steven Kokulak, Susan Hastings, and John Kokulak; and his 10 grandchildren: Stephen Kokulak, James Kokulak, Philip Hastings, John Kokulak, Thomas Hastings, Nicolette Kokulak, Alex Kokulak Cassandra Kokulak, Paulina Kokulak, and Violet Kokulak. A visitation will be held Wednesday, December 22, 2021, from 11 AM-1 PM St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish 345 Bear Christiana Rd., Bear, DE 19701 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1 PM.
