Thomas “Tommy” Metzo, Jr., age 71, of New Castle, DE, passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2022. After graduation from high school and college, Tommy proudly served in the US Navy. He worked for years at Rena Ware and later for a plastics company. Tommy loved fishing and every season would be found knee-deep in water reeling in the big ones. His biggest passion was gardening, and Tommy provided the family with plenty of fresh produce throughout the summer. He also kept the lawn looking beautiful, with his landscaping. Tommy is survived by his mother, Shirley A. Metzo; sister, Laurie A. Eller; brother, Jeff E. Metzo; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Michael Metzo, Sr.; his nephew, Brian A. Eller; and his niece, Jessica L. Eller. A celebration of life will be held Friday, May 6, 2022, at 11 AM at Bible Fellowship Church, 808 Old Baltimore Pike, Newark, DE 19702.
