William Wilson Dacus, age 96, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, May 25, 2022. William spent most of his adult life living in New Jersey before moving to Delaware for his last 10 years to live with his daughter and her family. He proudly served in the US Navy from 1944-46. William was a faithful member of Sayre Woods Bible Church for 50 years before coming to Delaware and where he then attended Grace Evangelical Free Church. His faith was very important to him, and he enjoyed sharing that faith with both friends and strangers alike. William had a kind and giving heart that will be missed by all who knew and loved him. William is survived by his sons, Dennis Dacus of Thailand and Robert Dacus (Joanne) of Monroe Township, NJ; daughter, Kathy Mangini (Richard) of Delaware; grandchildren: Steven Mangini (Lisa), Michael Mangini (Hannah), Joseph Mangini (fiancée, Amanda), Caleb Dacus, and Anna Dacus Amerson (Martese); and great-grandchildren: Nicholas, Steven, Anthony, and Madison. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Martha Dacus. A visitation will be held Saturday, July 16, 2022, at 3 PM at Grace Evangelical Free Church, 355 Paper Mill Rd., Newark, DE 19711.
