In Loving Memory of Alexis McGonigle May 14, 2025 With heavy and aching hearts, we share the passing of Alexis McGonigle on May 14, 2025. Though her time with us was far too short, the love, laughter, and light she brought into the world will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Alexis was a beautiful soul—goofy, vibrant, and full of warmth. Her bright smile could light up the darkest room, and her humor had a way of disarming sadness and drawing people close. She had a heart that gave freely, even when her own was hurting. She faced struggles that life sometimes placed in her path, but through it all, her love—especially for her sons—was fierce and enduring. Giovanni and Bentley were her heart, and she now watches over them as their guardian angel, holding them with the same love from above that she carried on earth. Alexis was a cheerleader and a volleyball player at William Penn High School, where she brought energy, determination, and light to every team she was a part of. She was always a daddy’s girl, sharing a special bond of love and laughter with her father. And her mother was her biggest cheerleader—her rock, supporting her with unwavering love through every chapter of life. Alexis is survived by her loving parents, Robert and Judy McGonigle, and her cherished sons, Giovanni and Bentley. She is also survived by her siblings and their families: • Jennifer Maldonado and Josh • Amber Miller and Will • Danielle McKenzie and Andrew • Bob McGonigle Jr. and Tabitha • Amber Lynn McGonigle She was a beloved aunt to nephews Tommy, Timmy, James, and Bryce, and nieces Amira and Anastasia, all of whom brought her great joy. Alexis is also lovingly remembered by her maternal grandmother, Judith Currinder, and her paternal grandmother, Genevieve O’Brien, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and life-long friends. Alexis was predeceased by her maternal grandfather, Vaughn Currinder, her paternal grandfather, Robert McGonigle, and the absolute love of her life, Christian Houser—each of whom she loved deeply and who now welcome her with peace and open arms. Though Alexis is no longer here in body, her spirit remains—in her boys, in her family, and in all the lives she touched. She was a bright flame in this world, and her light will never go out. Rest peacefully, Alexis. You were so loved. You still are.
