Dorothy Blodgett, 46, passed away on March 19, 2026. Born in Wilmington, Delaware, Dorothy was a spontaneous and free-spirited woman who truly lived life to the fullest. She will be remembered for her warmth, her strength, and her ability to bring joy, laughter, and comfort to everyone around her. She loved to dance and have fun, always bringing energy and light into any room she entered. Dorothy enjoyed fishing with her father, a pastime that brought her peace and created lasting memories she held close to her heart. She also had a passion for traveling and embracing new experiences, always ready for her next adventure. One of her favorite trips was traveling across the country with husband Andrew. Dorothy had a deep love for animals and cared for her four dogs and nine cats as cherished members of her family. They brought her constant companionship and happiness while she brought whatever she could for them. Known for her generous and giving heart, Dorothy helped anyone she could—whether it was family, friends, strangers, or those experiencing homelessness. Her kindness and willingness to give without hesitation touched countless lives and left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her. Her compassion, vibrant spirit, and unconditional love for her family, animals, and community will never be forgotten. Dorothy Blodgett will be deeply missed and forever loved by all who knew her. Dorothy’s greatest pride and love were her children, Mariah and Cody, along with her bonus daughter and niece, Destiny, who held a very special place in her heart. She shared a devoted life with her husband, Andrew. Dorothy treasured the bond she had with her sisters: Amanda, Angel, and Pearl. She also leaves behind many cousins, friends, and extended family who will deeply miss her presence. Dorothy was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Achuff.
