Kathleen "Kathy" Marie Pawley

Kathleen Marie Pawley, 63 years old of Newark Delaware, passed away peacefully in her sleep at her residence in Newark, DE, on Tuesday, July 9th, 2024. Kathy was born in Wilmington, Delaware on May 24, 1961, to the late George Perry and F. Adelaide Perry. She graduated from Goldey Beacom College, Wilmington, DE. She was employed in the medical industry in billing and medical liaison positions. Kathy was a true hard worker and took pride in her work. She rarely missed a day and put 100% into every job she did. Kathy always prided herself on her work ethics and would say she got it from her dad. She was awarded numerous awards including the super user for exceeding the work standards for her roles. She retired from A.I. after more than 20 years of dedication at Dupont Hospital for Children in July 2019. Kathy was predeceased by her parents, George Frances Perry and F. Adelaide Perry, her sisters, Carol McNally and Darlece Sullivan, her brothers George F. Perry, Wayne Perry, Randy Perry, Paul Snavely and David Snavely. Kathy is survived by her children, Stepanie Urquia, (Bien Urquia), Kathleen Pawley, (Ty Tucker) Clifford Pawley, (Jen Pawley), Michael Pawley, (Tabby McDonough), Timothy Pawley (Elizabeth Sabrowski) her brother, James (Jimmy) Perry (Donna Perry), Sisters, Carol Michaels- Lacorte (Samual Lacorte), and Sandra Munden, her grandchildren whom brought her the greatest joy, Robert Shipley, Jeremy Faber, Curtis Pawley, Madison Pawley, Cole Pawley, Nathan Pawley, Charlie Warne, Isabella Pawley, Sophia Pawley, her step-grandchildren, Noah Tucker, Jaydon Tucker and Liam Tucker and her great granddaughter, Amelia Shipley and many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins and friends. Kathy, a cherished mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Her unwavering love and dedication to her family were evident in every aspect of her life. Kathy embraced life with a passion for creating cherished memories with her loved ones. Kathy was happiest when she was with her family and friends. She loved the beach and being by the water. She spent many wonderful years making cherished memories with her family at Little Beach, DE., crabbing, clamming, fishing, riding the jet ski or riding on “That Girl,” or just sitting in the sand. From family day trips to family kickball games to golf cart rides. She loved just being and doing with her family. Kathy adored her role as MomMom, showering her grandchildren with affection and creating joyful moments that will be treasured forever. She found immense joy in watching them grow, imparting wisdom, and sharing her love with each of them. Kathy's kindness, warmth, and unconditional love will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her. Her legacy of love, joy, and appreciation for life's simple pleasures will continue to inspire and guide us. Though she is no longer with us, Kathy leaves behind a legacy of love, family unity, and a profound appreciation for the beauty of life. She will forever remain in our hearts as we carry forward her spirit of love and admiration. A visitation will be held Wednesday, July 17, 2024, from 10 AM – 12 Noon at Strano & Feeley Family Funeral Home, 635 Churchmans Rd., Newark, DE 19702 followed by a celebration of Kathy’s life at 12 Noon.
