Lloyd Pittman Jr.

Lloyd Pittman Jr. was born in Montclair NJ on October 2, 1934 to Marie Pittman and Lloyd Pittman Sr. Lloyd grew up in a loving household that was centered on the word of God. Lloyd was raised in the Church of God and Christ and Bishop F.D. Washington prayed over him and in Lloyd’s words “I haven’t had a nose bleeding since”. Along with a foundation of God Lloyd also was grounded in family. Growing up with two older brothers John Stewart (brother deceased), Edward Stewart (brother deceased), Birdie Cummings (Sister deceased) and Lloyds baby sister Ella Marie Spivey would be the last addition to his immediate family. Lloyd received his education through the NJ Public School system with the crown Jewel being his attendance at Montclair High School. It was here that he met one of his lifelong friends Aubrey Lewis (who would later became one of the first African American FBI agents). After school Lloyd enlisted into the Air Force and was immediately assigned to South Korea in 1951 during the Korean War. Lloyd grew up in a very loving family with the pillar of the family being his mother. Although Lloyd left home after high school to join the military, he was only following a tradition his older brothers John and Eddie set, both of whom were WW2 veterans. This began Lloyd’s journey into the United States Air Force as a Cryptologist. Lloyd served his Country with Distinction for 20 years in the United States Air Force. Lloyd was stationed at Andrew’s AFB (Home of Air Force One) twice and decided to start his family when he met his first wife Barbra Baker (deceased) during his first tour at Andrews AFB. Out of this union came Lloyd’s pride and joy his first child Havangelina Pittman (deceased). Lloyd traveled extensively in the military and was stationed in Osan Korea (during the Korean War) Oslo Norway at the NATO Headquarters, Bangkok Thailand (during the Vietnam War), Lloyd Served two tours in the Republic of the Philippines (during the Vietnam war). During his second tour in the Philippines Lloyd was introduced to Fatima Bermudo (wife deceased). Stewart Pittman was born from this union of love and Lloyd Married Fatima (Pat) Bermudo Pittman and they began their new family. Lloyd started his new family’s journey in Newark New Jersey where Lloyd would reconnect with lifelong friends John Hunter, John Steward (deceased), Alvin Curtis (deceased), and several other childhood friends and relatives. Lloyd served 20 years in the military with Distinction. After Lloyd’s military service he would go on to serve close to 30 additional years in the Banking Industry. Lloyd worked on Wall St. and later transferred from JP Morgan Chase NYC to New Castle DE. Shortly after Lloyds transfer to New Castle Delaware Lloyd and Pat’s family grew by three when Lloyd welcomed Pat’s three daughters Alma Onarosa Mallari, Annalyn Onarosa Bellamy, and Anabelle Onarosa. Lloyd retired from JP Morgan in 2003. After retiring Lloyd enjoyed visiting family and friends in New Jersey, watching sporting events and visiting his Wife Fatima at the Veterans Cemetery. Lloyd is preceded in death by mother and father Marie Pittman, Lloyd Pittman Sr. Siblings: John Stewart, Eddie Stewart, Birdie Cummings. Daughter: Havangelina Scott, Son in Law: Michael Scott. Lloyd is survived by his Sister: Ella Marie Spivey, his children: Stewart Pittman (son), Alma Mallari (daughter) and her husband Ferdinand Mallari, Annalyn Bellamy (daughter) and her husband Brian Bellamy, Anabelle Onarosa (daughter) and her fiancé Carlos Ramos, grandchildren: Michael Scott (grandson), Marcus Scott (grandson), Mary Ann Onarosa (granddaughter), Angelica Mallari (granddaughter), Joshua Mallari (grandson), Kiara Pittman Rodgers (granddaughter), Marquise Marshall (grandson), Darian Pittman (grandson), Great Grandchildren: Aileen Vasquez (great granddaughter), Damauri Rodgers (great grandson), Zariyah Rodgers (great granddaughter) and his “Best Buddy” Panda �&#56380;. Lifelong friends: Mr. John Hunter, Keith, Kevin and Karen Hunter, Kimberly Hunter (Goddaughter) Ted Gill, Jerome Williams and Donna Roads, Antoinette Beal Neighbors Michael and Blyth Brown and a host of other family, friends, neighbors and colleagues. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Lloyd from 10 AM to 11 AM on Friday, July 18, 2025 at Strano & Feeley Family Funeral Home, 635 Churchmans Rd. Newark, DE 19702. A celebration of Lloyd's life service will begin at 11 AM. Burial will follow at 1 PM at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Rd., Bear, DE 19702.
