Louise M. Custis

Louise M. Custis, age 81, of Wilmington, Delaware, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2025, surrounded by the love of her devoted family. Born on June 19, 1944, Louise lived a life filled with love, laughter, and compassion, leaving a lasting impression on everyone blessed to know her. Louise was a proud and dedicated employee of C.T. Corporation, where she worked for 40 years before retiring. Her work ethic and loyalty were admired by many, and she carried that same spirit into every aspect of her life. After retirement, she enjoyed traveling on the East Coast, with a special fondness for Myrtle Beach and California on the West Coast. Louise had a deep love for country music, especially Alan Jackson, and could often be found singing along with a smile on her face. She enjoyed catalog shopping and always had an eye for the perfect find. A lover of mystery stories and a devoted fan of the Hallmark Channel, she found comfort in the small joys of life. Her great sense of humor and vibrant personality made every moment with her memorable. Above all, Louise was a loving wife, a treasured mother, and mom-mom, and a source of strength and joy for her family. She is survived by her beloved husband of 49 years, Cecil Custis; her daughter Christine Bond and husband Kevin; her grandchildren, Justin Bond and wife Aileen, and Tyler Bond and wife Sierra; and her great-grandchildren Gianna, Mia, and Elena, who brought her so much joy and pride. She is also survived by her sister, Barbara Bassinger, along with many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. Louise was preceded in death by her sister Dolores Weaver, and her brother Larry Consono and his wife Jetta. Louise’s legacy is one of love, kindness, and laughter. Her spirit will live on in the memories she created and the hearts she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew her.
