Patricia "Patsy" DeGraw

Patricia “Patsy” DeGraw, 83, of Wilmington, Delaware, passed away on April 2, 2026. Born on August 9, 1942, to William and Clara (Markowski) Seibert, Patsy lived a life centered around her faith, family, and the people she loved. As a young woman, she met her husband, Pepper DeGraw, while working at his family's sub shop. What started as a job, turned into a love story that would last 65 years. A devoted matriarch and pillar of strength, Patsy was the heartbeat of her family. She served as President of the Catholic Sodality Group and for many years as the Cantor at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, where her voice was a gift to all who heard it. That same voice could be found filling a room with song on any given day, and without fail, on every family member’s birthday. Patsy dedicated 20 years to Rockford Center, where she served as office manager. Known as a trusted and respected colleague, the relationships she built there reflected the same warmth and dedication she brought to every corner of her life. In her personal time, she loved nothing more than playing Bingo with friends, keeping up with the latest celebrity news, sitting down with her watercolors or gathering with family for a lively round of party games. Those moments were never quiet. Loud, lively, and full of laughter was exactly how she liked it. Patsy had a gift for making everyone feel cherished. She never showed up empty handed, always bringing something thoughtful and special for the people she loved. And every Christmas, each grandchild knew there was a lovingly stuffed stocking waiting for them at MomMom’s house. Her unique phrases, voice, and lipstick kisses will be carried in our hearts forever. She will be deeply missed by all who loved her. Patsy is survived by her husband, Pepper DeGraw, of 65 years; her daughters, Vicki DeGraw Huss (John) and Denise McLaughlin (Michael); eight grandchildren: Cassie, Deena, Michele, Becky, Kelly, Maria, Alli, and Timmy; ten great-grandchildren; and her beloved nieces, nephews, family and friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Karen DeGraw Hall; her parents, William and Clara Seibert; and her siblings, Gertrude, Anna, and William.
