Rosa H. Alejandro

Rosa H. Alejandro, age 79, of Middletown, DE, went to be with the Lord on December 20, 2024. Born and raised in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico, Rosa was a beloved and hardworking individual who devoted 12 years to Popular Bank in Puerto Rico before stepping down to focus on her health and family. Rosa was a courageous and resilient woman who triumphed over breast cancer twice. First diagnosed in 2005, she bravely battled the disease and entered remission. In 2022, when breast cancer returned, Rosa once again confronted it with incredible strength and determination, embodying a spirit that inspired all who knew her. Rosa had an immense love for cooking, particularly for preparing Puerto Rican specialties, and she delighted in creating dishes that brought people together. Cooking Arroz con Gandules and Pernil was one of her greatest passions, and her home was often filled with the comforting aroma of lovingly prepared meals. She had a natural gift for making people feel welcome, and her warm hospitality was a reflection of the kind, generous soul she was. Rosa loved to dance, she enjoyed music, and celebrated life, always sharing her vibrant energy and joyful spirit with those around her. She was the type of person who would go out of her way to help anyone in need, and her kindness touched the hearts of all who knew her. Rosa was a devoted member of St. Paul's Church for over 30 years, Rosa’s faith was central to her life. Her strong sense of community and unwavering love for her church family were deeply evident in everything she did. Rosa’s generosity, warmth, and good heart made her a treasured presence in the lives of her loved ones, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Rosa is survived by her beloved family, including her devoted best friends and caretakers, Edna Feliciano and Sandy Feliciano. She is also survived by her loving sister, Carmen Alejandro; her two caring nieces, Damaris Alejandro and Ana Hilda; and her wonderful brother, Rafael Alejandro. She was preceded in death by her father, Rafael Alejandro, and mother, Ana El Vega. Rosa’s services will be private. Although she is no longer with us, her memory, her infectious spirit, and her selfless kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were touched by her life.
