Rosalie M. McMullen

Rosalie M. McMullen, 85, went home to be with the Lord on November 25, 2025. She was born on January 17, 1940, and spent her life creating a home filled with love, laughter, and warmth that everyone around her could feel. Rosalie had a special way of making people feel cared for. Her home was always welcoming, and her cooking brought everyone together. Her French toast became a family favorite, not just as a meal, but as a memory of love and connection. Family gatherings often started in her kitchen and ended with stories, smiles, and laughter that lingered long after the day was over. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She tended her flower gardens with care, lost herself in books and word puzzles, enjoyed Hallmark movies and game shows, and delighted in bingo nights and Bible fellowship with friends. Some of her happiest moments were playing cards with her family, sharing laughter and creating memories that will be cherished forever. Rosalie’s heart was always with her family. She celebrated every visit, every accomplishment, and every milestone. She made each grandchild feel loved and special, and her children knew they could always count on her steady, nurturing presence. Beyond her immediate family, Rosalie’s warmth touched many friends and extended family, who will remember her kindness, generosity, and gentle spirit. Rosalie is survived by her children: Chris McMullen, Daniel McMullen, and Sharon Griffiths; her sisters: Ann McMullen and Rebecca Hansel; her grandchildren: Jacob McMullen, Janel McMullen, Michael Griffiths, Jr, Christian Griffiths, and Isabella Griffiths; and her great-grandson, Ambrose McMullen-Clark. She is remembered fondly by many extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Naomi Morgan, her husband, Earl McMullen; her brother, Arley Morgan; and her sister, Etta Mitchell. A Graveside Committal Service will be held on Monday, December 1, at 11:00 AM at Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Hwy., New Castle, DE 19720.
