Tracy Marie Torres

Tracy Marie (Bell) Torres, age 36, of Wilmington, Delaware lost her brave battle with Cancer on February 25, 2025. Tracy was an amazing person who showed her deep love for others in actions. She was devoted to her family and friends and loved her children dearly. Tracy was very close to her Mom and always wanted to make her proud. She taught her daughters to have fun, enjoy and live life to the fullest, and be adventurous. Tracy loved doing crafts and projects with them. She once put tape on the entire living room floor so they could run and slide in their socks. Tracy set an example for her girls to love and serve others, to reach for their dreams, and to try hard things. She was self-employed and stayed busy with a variety of odd jobs. Whatever was needed, she was always lending a hand to provide solutions. Tracy had a passion for helping the homeless and the less fortunate. She worked with several outreaches that fed, clothed, and gave necessities to those in need. She also personally fed the homeless on S. Union St. in Wilmington and often invited people into her house to enjoy a meal and let them warm up. Tracy was an auxiliary member of the American Legion Stahl Post in New Castle, Delaware and helped with their work to benefit veterans. Tracy was a motorcycle enthusiast and helped with the Toys for Tots fundraisers. She was a prospect for the Knights of the Fallen Motorcycle Club until her illness interfered with her activities. Tracy leaves a legacy of kindness, service, and love in action. Her time with us was all too brief but the ripple effects of the lives she touched will last forever. She will be deeply missed and always loved. Tracy is survived by her seven daughters: Mehlaynie Torres, Nealise Torres, Arabella Torres, Kaleema Brown, Kennia Brown, Karisma Brown, and Kemina Brown; her mother and stepfather, Minnie and James Focht Sr.; her brothers: Sean McGuire, Daniel McGuire, Mark McGuire, Ian McGuire and Ryan McGuire; fiancé, Kenneth Brown; grandmother, Diane Dunfee Bell; former husband, Gabriel Torres; uncle, Jerry Lockerman; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Tracy was preceded in death by her father, Richard Bell; her aunt, Dorothy (Lou Lou) Lockerman; maternal grandparents, Edward and Katherine Lockerman; paternal grandparents, Charles "Chuck" W. Kelley & Mary Kelley; and her paternal grandfather, Thomas C. Bell. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Friday, March 7 from 2 to 3:30 PM at the Strano & Feeley Family Funeral Home, 635 Churchmans Road, Newark, DE 19702. A service in celebration of Tracy‘s life will follow at 3:30 PM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to the funeral home to assist with expenses.
