Viola M. "Cissy" Anacay

It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of our beautiful mother, Viola M. “Cissy” Anacay who left us peacefully on February 5, 2026 at 8:15am - 55 years young. She was a mom to her four children, Jonathon Marciano, Chad Marciano, Kaitlyn Marciano & Kylee Anacay. A loving aunt to Stacey and Doug and a proud Gammy to her grandchildren, Chad, Maleeah, Alonia, Chloe, Emma, Angela, Matt, Anthony & Roman. She also was a proud Gammy to Gavin, Masyn & Violet children of Nikki and Amanda Rigdon. All of her grandchildren brought her endless joy and laughter. She was also survived by her father, Carl Taylor; brother, Roy Taylor and “Bestie” Nolan McCandless. Her family and friends meant the most to her and she cherished every moment spent together, whether it was a holiday gathering with her famous homemade meatballs, a phone call just to talk or curling up on the bed watching lifetime movies. Viola “Cissy” had a vibrant spirit and a gift for connecting with people. She loved Florida. The beach was her happy place — the sound of the waves, warm sunshine, and ocean breeze always brought her peace. She also enjoyed socializing and was known for her contagious smile, friendly and outgoing nature, and the ability to make everyone feel welcome no matter where she was because she was always the life of the party. She will be remembered for her kindness, her laughter, and the love she gave so freely. Her legacy lives on through her children, grandchildren, extended family, and the many friends whose lives she touched. Cissy was preceded in death by her mother, Eleanor Taylor; sister, Kimberly Smith; father of 3 of her children, Thomas Marciano and father of 1 child, Tito Anacay. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday February 28th at 4:30pm at the Presbyterian Church of the Covenant - 503 Duncan Rd. Wilmington DE, 19809. Please, if you are able to bring a dish of your choice. She loved Italian food. Sausage and peppers, meatballs, baked ziti, etc. It is also a BYOB if you choose to do so. Our mom wants nothing more but to have everyone be together to honor her life with smiles, laughter and to share funny, happy and loving memories that you have made with her. She will be forever missed, never forgotten and forever loved.
